We found Jackson in Hoback Junction, near Jackson Hole, Wyoming - hence his name. Jackson was raised on a ranch that catered to the dude ranch business. The owner was raising part-draft horses out of Percheron mares and by highly-colored Quarter Horse and Paint stallions. Jacksons sire was a grand-son of the famed Quarter Horse Mr. San Peppy, and Jackson is pretty athletic when he's inspired.

Most of the time, Jackson gets to spend his life as a pasture baby-sitter for our youngsters, but we also ask him to pack game or do an occasional trail ride.
