Valverde Chinle - 2006 Palomino Colt
(Valverde Salado X Vicky's Indigo)

Named for the town in Arizona where we spent a wonderful weekend not long after his birth, Chinle shows all the hallmarks of being another fine and athletic Morgan. He is out of my all-time favorite mare Vicky, so he combines the great western working lines of Primavera Valdez with those of the fine Utah sire Stellar.

Chinle is a full brother to Valverde Primero and is almost a carbon copy - if anything he might have a little nicer conformation. He seems to have the same friendly personality, and he is quite bold - from day one things like noise, water, fly spray, tarps, and all that stuff never bothered him much at all. His dam Vicky is gaited, but I do not believe this foal will gait; his older brother has not shown any tendency to do so. It's hard to know for sure until they are under saddle, but if he gaits, it is not his natural tendency. His older brother Primo has shown a real natural talent for dressage, having great trainability, a fine work ethic, and good, cadenced gaits.

Chinle is for sale - priced at $2250. He was gelded in summer of 2007.
